TMRA General Meetings
The General Meeting is held at 7:00 PM on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Electrical Industry Building (727 Lime City Rd, Rossford). Doors open at 6:00 PM for social time. All TMRA members, amateurs, and the public are welcome.

TMRA Technical Committee Meetings
The Technical Committee usually meets at Charlie’s Restaurant (1631 Toll Gate Dr, Maumee) on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 PM.

TMRA Executive Committee Meetings
The Executive Committee consists of the 5 Trustees and the 5 Officers, and meets at least three times a year or at the call of the President. The Executive Committee meetings are open to TMRA members. Meetings are normally held at Charlie’s Restaurant (1631 Toll Gate Dr, Maumee) on the 4th Wednesday of the month. Meetings start at 6:00 PM.

Saturday Breakfast Social Meeting
Several club members have breakfast at 9:00 AM on Saturdays at Golden Corral, 5730 Opportunity Dr.

Toledo Radio Amateur Club (T.R.A.C.) – Callsign W8RZM – meets at 9:30 am on the first Saturday of the month, First Baptist Church, 590 West South Boundary, Perrysburg

Lucas County Amateur Radio Emergency Services (L.C.A.R.E.S.) – meets at 9:00 am on the fourth Saturday of each month at the EMS Building, 2127 Jefferson Avenue, Toledo

Quarter Century Wireless Association (Q.C.W.A.) – meets at 9:00 am on the second Saturday of each month, winter months at the Frisches in Maumee, summer months at 10:00 am at Fort Meigs

March 17, 2024 – TMRA Hamfest
The TMRA Hamfest is an ARRL approved indoor hamfest, typically held on the 3rd Sunday in March, at Owens Community College (Student Health and Activities Center, 7315 Championship Dr. W, Perrysburg). We have ample free on-campus parking and facilities for the handicapped. Chairman of the Hamfest Committee is Brian, WD8MXR

April 27, 2024 – Ohio ARES NVIS Day
The Ohio Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) Near-Vertical Incidence Skywave (NVIS) Day is an opportunity to practice local communications using HF frequencies below the Maximum Usable Frequency (MUF).
Join TMRA at the Maumee branch of the Toledo Library, 501 River Rd, Maumee. The exercise will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM local time.

April 28, 2024 – Glass City Marathon
The Glass City Marathon is held in April on each year. TMRA members volunteer to assist in monitoring the race.

May 11, 2024 – Armed Forces Day Cross-Band Test
Armed Forces Day is held annually in May. Military radio stations will transmit on military frequencies and listen on amateur radio frequencies.

May 17, 18 and 19, 2024 – Dayton Hamvention
The TMRA is collaborating with the Ann Arbor ARROW Club this year, organizing transportation from Rossford to the Dayton Hamvention, the world’s largest amateur radio gathering.
The TMRA point of contact for this event is Dave, WA2DHG.
Tickets must be purchased in advance.

June 1-2, 2024 – Museum Ships on the Air
This is a Special Event operation aboard the SS Col Schoonmaker as K8E, activating Lake Erie.
Contact Glenn W8MUK or Dave KD8EVN if you are interested in participating.
This event, sponsored by Toledo Mobile Radio Association, is held annually on the first weekend in June at the National Museum of the Great Lakes in Toledo, OH.

June 22-23, 2024 – TMRA Field Day
The annual ARRL Field Day is held on the fourth full weekend of June all day Saturday and Sunday, with possible setup on Friday afternoon/evening. The TMRA sets up stations at the Wolcott House (1035 River Rd, Maumee). The point of contact for W8HHF’s Field Day is Steve W8TER

July 20, 2024 – Parks on the Air
The Summer Parks on the Air (POTA) Support Your Parks weekend is held on the third full weekend in July. Other POTA events may be held at any time from state and national parks.

August 1, 2024 – Orlando HamCation
Tickets go on sale for the 2025 Orlando HamCation, the world’s second largest amateur radio gathering.

August 24, 2024 – Ohio QSO Party and TMRA Club Picnic
The Mad River Radio Club hosts the Ohio QSO Party annually on the fourth Saturday of August from noon until midnight. TMRA enters the competition as a club and invites all members to participate.

September 7, 2024 – Ohio State Parks on the Air
The Portage County Amateur Radio Service (PCARS) hosts the Ohio State Parks on the Air (OSPOTA) annually on the first Saturday following Labor Day from 10am to 6pm.

October 19-20, 2024 – Boy Scouts Jamboree on the Air
Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, is held the third weekend in October and is the largest Scouting event in the world. There are no official hours, so you have the whole weekend to make JOTA contacts. The event officially starts Friday evening during the JOTA Jump Start and runs through Sunday evening. Scouts of any age can participate, from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts and Venturers, including girls.
