A deceased amateur radio operator is called a “silent key.” Since the telegraph key was historically how an operator operated their radio, this term honors the operators whose key has become silent.
The Toledo Mobile Radio Association, in cooperation with the Quarter Century Wireless Association (QCWA) Northwest Ohio Chapter 142, would like to announce the updated Silent Key List for the local and regional areas.
