Licensing-Education-Renewals

For many years, the TMRA has sponsored entry level amateur radio classes free of charge to interested persons living in the community.
Volunteer instructors from within the membership conduct the classes.
Class size has ranged from as low as 5-7 to more than 30 students.
Typically, there is one class offered in the Spring and another class in the Fall.
Occasionally a more advanced course is offered to assist those interested in upgrading their operation license classification.

If you are interested in attending the class and working through the material necessary to take your Technician Licensing exam, please consider joining us for our next licensing class.

Contact Steve KC8TVW at 419-467-3734 to register

Contact Mike WA8SYD at 419-699-1390 for other questions

There is no charge for the class itself, but you should have a textbook (The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual) that you can obtain beforehand from the ARRL or from us for a nominal fee (about $30.00.)  Check on the cost when you contact us.

When it is time to take the test at the end of the class, there is a charge of $15.00 to cover expenses for the test. Please have exact cash. Also, bring with you a valid picture ID and copies of any other previous licensing or CSCE’s you may have.
